From June 12th to July 10th, 2025, over a period of one month, the DOING overseas after-sales team completed the installation and commissioning of 15-ton semi-continuous tank bottom sludge pyrolysis equipment for a repeat Colombian client. The pyrolysis equipment, with their efficient and high-quality technical capabilities, provide strong support for the expansion of the Colombian client's sludge pyrolysis project and promote its successful implementation.

This Colombian client is in the waste oil recycling and treatment industry and has a stable source of sludge raw materials. During their initial cooperation, they expressed their desire to introduce new technologies to solve the problems of coking and scaling, frequent manual cleaning, and low production efficiency of their existing pyrolysis equipment. In 2023, the client first purchased 4 sets of DOING's 15-ton stainless steel sludge pyrolysis equipment. These four sets of equipments have now been installed. After six months of operation, they highly praised the operating performance, production efficiency, and anti-coking and anti-scaling design of DOING's pyrolysis equipment. Therefore, in 2024, the client again signed a purchase contract with DOING, ordering 12 sets of sludge pyrolysis equipment of the same specifications and configuration to further promote the scale and industrial chain upgrade of their sludge project.

The tank bottom sludge pyrolysis production line provided by DOING includes the following subsystems:
Feeding system (sludge pump)
Pyrolysis system (stainless steel main furnace)
Heating system (heating furnace)
Condensing system (oil-water separator, catalytic chamber, horizontal condenser, vertical condenser, condensing tower)
Slag discharge system (cooling slag discharge screw conveyor)

Tail gas purification system (water seal tank, deodorization tower)
Considering the fluidity and high viscosity characteristics of tank bottom sludge, DOING recommends a closed, oxygen-free feeding method using a sludge pump, ensuring that the material undergoes pyrolysis in a sealed environment. The inner liner of the main pyrolysis furnace is made of custom-made 304 stainless steel, with a smooth surface to reduce the probability of material sticking to the wall; the furnace is equipped with a coking removal device, which uses mechanical force to scrape off agglomerated sludge and coke from the wall during the rotation of the furnace liner. This approach, addressing both prevention and treatment, improves the durability and stability of the pyrolysis equipment.

High production efficiency and significant economic benefits: This sludge pyrolysis equipment adopts a semi-continuous process, with sealed feeding at the front end and high-temperature slag discharge at the rear end, eliminating the furnace cooling stage compared to traditional pyrolysis processes. Three batches of sludge can be processed in two days, significantly improving the equipment's capacity and economic efficiency.
Long service life and low maintenance costs: The pyrolysis furnace liner is made of stainless steel, which has stronger corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance, avoiding problems such as bulging, deformation, or perforation that can occur in carbon steel during long-term thermal expansion and contraction. At the same time, the stainless steel furnace liner can alleviate sludge coking and sticking to the wall during the pyrolysis process, reducing the frequency of manual coke removal and extending the equipment's service life.
High level of automation and reduced labor costs: The pyrolysis equipment is equipped with a PLC intelligent control system, realizing fully automated control from raw material input to finished product output, improving the efficiency of pyrolysis oil production and meeting the high processing volume production needs of the Colombian customer.

Due to the large order volume from the Colombian customer, the equipment production cycle is correspondingly extended. To ensure the continuous progress of the oil sludge pyrolysis project, DOING adopted a "batch production and batch shipment" strategy, completing the manufacturing, quality inspection, and loading and shipment of the equipment in three separate batches in February and May of 2025. The overseas engineering team is ready and will immediately travel to the site to guide installation and commissioning work after the pyrolysis equipment arrives at the port and clears customs.

Currently, all 12 sets of 15-ton semi-continuous tank bottom oil sludge pyrolysis equipment for the Colombian client are being installed at full speed. Once all these equipments are ready, the production line can operate at full capacity, ensuring a stable output of high-quality pyrolysis oil. The typical oil yield from pyrolysis is between 70% and 80%, with the specific value affected by variations in raw materials. The residual slag rate after pyrolysis is less than 0.3%, meeting the standards for harmless landfill. A small amount of combustible gas is purified and returned to the pyrolysis furnace as auxiliary fuel, reducing external fuel consumption and thus lowering overall operating costs.
